What kind of training do the coaches have?
All our coaches are at least Level 1 Archery GB trained. We do have club members who are also very knowledgeable and will always be happy to help. If you would like formal coaching then Chiltern Archery is our preferred one stop shop on 01296 630919.
How do I join?
In order to join you must have attended a beginners course, this way we know you have been taught how to shoot and the safe way of shooting. Once you have finished the course you are very welcome to join.
What are beginners course?
The purpose of beginners course is to get you used to setting up a bow, starting to learn the correct technique and to teach you range and bow safety. All that you need to know can be taught in three 1 hour sessions that can be booked at your convenience. The total cost of the course is £90 which includes a qualified instructor, use of equipment and our indoor range. To book please call 01296 630919.
When does the club meet?
There is a dedicated club morning which is every Sunday from 10am until 1pm however, all our members have use of Chiltern Archery's indoor range Monday - Thursday 12 noon - 9pm, Friday's 10am - 5pm and Saturdays 9am - 5pm. If you would like to shoot indoors at these times then there is a reduced club hourly fee of £4.00 per hr. They also have an outdoor range which is free to use throughout the year.
