"Thanks to all those of you who have renewed memberships already – and to those whose renewals are in the post to us.
Just a polite reminder that renewals MUST be in by August 31st 2008 in order for you to continue shooting into September – all Club members on renewal (or joining for new members) are being issued Club Membership Cards – those unable to produce these in September will be unable to shoot. We need to get GNAS renewals off straight away to ensure continuity for those with early season tournaments.

At long last one our Juniors has been awarded a Hertfordshire County Record. The first for Chiltern Archers.

On a changeable afternoon we travelled to Howard bowmen and though we realistically couldn't win, we did ourselves proud, only losing by 295 points. Our star shooter on his first outing was Gunter with 593.

Here are the summer league fixtures so far. They are all 14.00 assembly for 14.30 sighters. The Compound and Longbow people share some of the ties but not others, and their summer league is operated as postal, so they can shoot on the fixture preferably, but otherwise on a club target day.

Iain has finally inputed all the records for last season into the database. Over 220 scoresheets were handed in in total.

Samantha Meadows scored 526 and succeded in taking 3rd place - and a bronze medal - at the Mayflower Archers FITA 18 held in Billericay on Sunday 4th November 2007. In a close competition for 2nd and 3rd places, Sam missed out on the silver by only one point.
